Wabash Lowlands Ecosystem

Location: Follow the directions for Section 6 Flatwoods. Where CR 1250S and CR 575W meet, the preserve is to the west.

Description: Not Visited. One of several cypress swamps in this corner of Indiana, said to be impenetrable. We'll see about that. Visit cajun country without leaving the state or having to actually meet anyone. No trails, 1,268 acres. Whoaa!!!

Nearby Points of Interest: Goose Pond Cypress Slough, Twin Swamps, Gray Estate Cypress Slough, Harmonie State Park, Hovey Lake Fish and Wildlife Area.

Cautions: Impenetrable, they say. (?) Remember when I said cottonmouths could only be found in extreme southern Indiana? Do you see any of Indiana further south than this?

Ownership: The Nature Conservancy and some others.
