Hardin Ridge

 

 

Location: From I-64 in New Albany, take SR 111 southwest to Five Mile Lane, about five miles away(!!). Turn right, follow the road through a right-angle turn to the right; less than half a mile further is a gate where you park and walk into the preserve.

Description: Not Visited. Hey, a nice big one! 1,394 acres, oak and pine forests, ridges and valleys, lots of wildlife. Hiking is very rugged.

Nearby Points of Interest: Brock-Sampson Nature Preserve, Harrison-Crawford State Forest, Clark State Forest, Falls of the Ohio State Park

Cautions: Hunting is allowed here; deer and turkey at least, there may be others. Check seasons during fall.
