Brock Sampson Ridge

Location: From I-64 in New Albany, go southwest on SR 111 to Seven Mile Lane, which is, astoundingly, about seven miles away. Turn right, go about a mile to an old access road that leads to the right. The preserve is to the west.

Description: Not visited. 549 acres, mostly forested, covers some of the knobs and bluffs overlooking the Ohio River. No trails here, but should be good hiking; also a good place for wildflowers and birding.

Nearby Points of Interest: Falls of the Ohio State Park; Hardin Ridge; Clark and Harrison-Crawford State Forests aren't far away. The "Squire Boone Caverns", one of Indiana's open-to-the-public commercially run caves and supposed to be interesting, is off of SR 11 to the west of here.

Cautions: Unknown.

Ownership: Indiana DNR
