Minnehaha Fish and Wildlife Area

 

Location: From US 41 south of Terre Haute, east on SR 54 (yes, WAY south of Terre Haute) through the town of Dugger. The property check-in is just east of Dugger on 54.

Description: Not Visited. At 11,400 acres, largest F&W in the state; located mostly on reclaimed strip mine lands. Mostly meadowland, naturally, with some lakes. The area around Twin Lakes is recommended. Good hiking area.

Nearby Points of Interest: Greene-Sullivan State Forest, Shakamak State Park.

Cautions: Hunting allowed.

Facilities: No camping, no trails. Blaze your own.
