Shrader-Weaver Woods

Location: From the intersection of I-70 and SR 1, south on 1 five and a half miles to CR 700N (Bentonville Rd.). West on 700 to CR 450W, then south just over a mile and a half; the preserve has a marked parking lot.

Description: Not Visited. 108 acres, partly old growth woods and partly abandoned field in succession to woods. A variety of trees and shrubs, and lots of spring wildflowers. There is a home built in 1830 on the property, which used clay and limestone from the immediate vicinity. Two trails. This is a National Natural Landmark.

Nearby Points of Interest: Whitewater State Park. There are several semi-natural areas in Richmond, which is just a bit further west; you might want to check them out.

Cautions: I doubt it.
