Location: From the I-69 Pokagon exit, follow the frontage road on the east side of I-69 north 2 miles to SR 120; take 120 right 3 miles to Fremont; turn right on SR 827 and go one mile to the preserve.

Description: Not Visited. From hills to marshes, a diversity of environments; 220 acres altogether. Mountain holly here by the swamps.  A field report from Judith Nelsen:

We did spend 3-4 hours at Ropchan. It has very pretty trails, lots of fruit and nut trees, wild raspberry bushes, etc. I wouldn't be surprised if it was once a farm/orchard. But it's pretty wild now.  There are also marshes and some open areas, including a viewing platform overlooking a marsh. The trails are reasonably well marked, sometimes only with orange strips tied to the trees. But one caution: there were no trail maps when we were there and at trail bifurcations, often no directions as to which trail was which. We ended up on a different trail than we started and encountered a road at a different spot than the parking lot, with some consternation as it was very hot, we were low on water, and not sure we were even on the same road as the lot. (It turned out we were.)
