Marsh Lake

 

Location: From the Pokagon exit at I-69, follow the parallel (to I-69) road on the east side north to Feather Valley Road and turn right. Go about a mile and three quarters to CR 100E; turn left, drive about half a mile to the parking lot near the northeast corner of the preserve.

Description: Not Visited. A small, at 27 acres, part of a large group of nature preserves, wildlife areas and conservation areas. Includes fen, swamp and marsh areas, so you can study the difference first hand. Rare plants, rare insects, common mosquitoes, rare animals. Check it out.

Nearby Points of Interest: Cedar Swamp, Loon Lake, Charles McKenny Nature Preserve, Ropchan Wildlife Refuge, Pokagon State Park.

Cautions: Wet, of course. Hunting is allowed here; check on seasons.
