Location: From Spencer, drive on St. Rd. 46 until Highway 43 turns south. Follow 43, and turn right on Sherfield Road. Follow this road to a "T" at CR 75E and turn left; follow this road until it deadends next to a cemetery (naturally) in the Green's Bluff parking area. A long trail leads back into the preserve itself.
Description: Much of Green's Bluff is a tangled undergrowth on an abandoned farm or homestead. Trails have been worn through it in a haphazard manner. The real attraction is Raccoon Creek and the bluff itself on the other side; the view from the top of the bluff is nice. There are some interesting mosses and liverworts growing on the bluff, and a scattering of wildflowers through the undergrowth. If you don't mind wading, following the creek is much more interesting than following any of the trails.
Nearby Points of Interest: McCormick's Creek State Park
Cautions: Don't try wading barefoot; the broken shale is really sharp. Lots of poison ivy in the undergrowth.
