Dewey Hickman Nature Preserve

 

Location: From Corydon, south on Heidelberg Road almost three miles to Valley View Road, then right to the first county road on the right. This road leads right into (and right through) the preserve.

Description: Not Visited. 125 acres, forested and overlaying Indian Creek, which feeds--underground--into the Blue River. No trails are noted. Limestone cliffs and overlooks.

Nearby Points of Interest: Harrison-Crawford State Forest, Hoosier National Forest, Carnes Mill and Hemlock Cliffs Nature Preserve.

Cautions: Swimming in underground rivers is not highly recommended.
