Location: About 30 miles from Fort Wayne, northwest on St. Rd. 33, then north on St. Rd. 9.
Description: Not visited (but soon I hope!). Sounds like a flatwater canoeist's dream, a series of small, linked lakes for on-the-water exploration, and not a speedboat in sight (electric motors only allowed). Also eleven miles of hiking trails and a canoe campground accessible by water only. This is also one of the cross-country skiing destinations in Indiana, where you can follow groomed trails or the hiking trails.
Nearby Points of Interest: Mallard Roost Nature Preserve, North Branch Elkhart Wetlands
Cautions: Let me know if you think of any.
Ownership: Indiana DNR
