Selma Steele Nature Preserve

 

Location:   The preserve is located in T.C. Steele State Historic Site, in southwestern Brown County. Midway between Bloomington and Nashville on S.R. 46 is the small town of Belmont. From Belmont, follow the signs south from S.R. 46 to the State Historic site. Park in the parking lot located just past the main entrance.

Description: 92 acres. The preserve is a portion owned by famous Indiana artist T.C. Steele, and adjoins a historical site honoring him. The preserve is mostly woods and ravines, good for spring wildflowers or a fall hike among the leaves.
