Post Oak-Cedar Nature Preserve

 

 

Location:  Take SR 62 about 12 miles west of Corydon and turn south on SR 462. Just before entering the State Forest, turn south (left) onto Cold Friday Rd. (there is a small sign) and drive about 1 mile to the parking lot.

Description: 266 acres. The upper slopes of limestone and sandstone have trees and some limestone glades. There are oaks and cedar, of course. Several openings support prairie plants such as big and little bluestem, false dragonhead, and coneflower.
