Leacock Woods

Location: Land o' Goshen! From that town, take US 33 south to Benton, then take CR 44 to the right and go a little more than a mile. When the road curves to the south, but before it turns back to the east, the preserve is on your right. Surprise! It's on the other side of the Elkhart River! Bring your rubber raft or your swim suit.

Description: Not Visited. Floodplain with trees. 21 acres. Whoopee. Sounds like fun to get to, though.

Nearby Points of Interest: Bonneyville Mills, Conley Wildlife Refuge, W. L. Lieber Preserve, Shoup Parsons Swamp.

Cautions: Try not to drown before you visit; but on your way back, well, you might be able to use the excitement.
