There are a number of hiking trails in the state, but I don't know most of them; I really need help in this area, so get that e-mail coming in. There are two designated backpacking trails, listed below, and backpacking is allowed in the Hoosier National Forest and in Clark, Jackson-Washington and Morgan-Monroe State Forests. Enjoy yourself and remember to backpack out anything you backpack in.
