France Park

Location:  From Logansport, take U.S. 24 west a few miles out of town; France Park is on your left.

Description: A county park built around an abandoned quarry that's been turned into Indiana's biggest swimmin' hole. Parts are developed - campgrounds, etc. - but there are also some trails leading through the woods, an old prairie remnant, and along the higher cliffs overlooking the quarry (from where, on a good day, you can spot the paddlefish cruising around, an ancient species about 6 feet long with a long paddlelike mouth).
A must-visit destination.
