Social Justice Committee We meet the 2nd Thursday of each month from 7-8:30pm - join us sometime.
First Principle of Unitarian Universalism: We covenant to affirm and promote the inherent worth and dignity of every person.
The UU Social Justice Committee was founded in the belief that all members of a society should have basic human rights and equal access to their community's wealth and resources. To this end, the group works on public advocacy issues and on local social responsibility initiatives. The Social Justice Committee supports existing organizations through education, volunteer and financial contributions, and community activism. The Social Justice Committee is composed of the former Social Action and Social Responsibility Committees. Activities include the following:
