Chronically
Ill and Caregivers Group (CIC). This group is for adults
with chronic or long-term illness, and for those who are caregivers
for the chronically ill, whether at home or at a distance. Confidentiality
is stressed. The group meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month
at 7:00pm at the church. Rev. Hilary Landau Krivchenia is the facilitator.

Fiber Arts
Group. Fiber Arts is informal groups of friends and
members interested in working on fiber projects. such as crocheted,
knitted, or quilted objects for meeting community needs, for display
in our church, or for personal use. Those who are novices are
helped by others with more experience. Both men and women as
well as children are invited to join us in Room 4 on the fourth Tuesday of each month
from 6:30-8pm in Room 4 of the church. Patty Wood is the
coordinator.
Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual
Spirituality Group. The purpose of this group
is to be a supportive community for LGBT persons in the Lafayette
community wishing to share and deepen their spiritual lives. For

Mending the
Web. The purpose of this group is to work on issues of
responsible consumption and environmental concerns. For information
about meetings and projects, contact Dianna Poindexter at dianna1@wildmail.com.
No Frills
Movie Group. Movies you want to see, but may have missed
or wish to see again, are viewed on videotape in a comfortable setting.
Showtime is 7:00pm at Keith Brown's home on selected Fridays and
Sundays. Everyone is welcome. Announcements of dates, times, and
upcoming movies may be found on the table at the back of the sanctuary.

Outdoor Group.
Do you enjoy hikes, picnics, canoe trips, and other outdoor
activities? If so, you may be interested in joining in on some of
the activities of the Outdoor Group. For information, contact Tandy

Pastoral
Care Group. The Pastoral Care Group serves as a bridge
between the needs of congregation members and those who wish to
be of service. The group works with the minister to assist families
and individuals at times when a little extra help is needed, such
as the birth of a baby, illness or injury, a death in the family,
and other major life changes. Our purpose is to help members of
the congregation to help one another. For information, contact Rev.

Social
Justice Committee. The Social Justice Committee promotes
and supports equality, justice, and compassion in the local
community and beyond through education, advocacy and activism. The
committee meets the second Thursday of every month from 7:00 PM-8:30
PM in rooms 101-103. For more information, please contact the church

Sunday Morning
Forum. Presentations and discussions on a variety of
topics are held each week at the Red Cross building from 9:00am
-10:00am. Everyone is welcome. For more information go to Forum.
Thinking Scripture is an ongoing
course that provides an opportunity to explore the history of the
Bible, traditional and non-traditional interpretation of the Bible,
and to share our own perspectives on and struggles with this key
text. We are reading slowly an in depth, combining study materials
in addition to the core text itself. Currently our primary focus is
on the Hebrew Scriptures. Over time, we will carefully explore the
Hebrew Scripture, the Christian Bible, and other sacred texts. You
are welcome to join at anytime. Please contact Rev. Hilary

5:30 - 7:30 p.m. in Room 4. Bring your dinner or a snack.
Thursday
Dinner at MCL. Drop in at the MCL Cafeteria at 5:50pm
on any Thursday night to join other UUs for casual conversation
over dinner. The group, which varies in size from about 4-16, meets
in the lobby and starts through the cafeteria line before 5:55pm.
Timely
Unitarian Universalist Topics (TUUT). A lively discussion
group. We meet the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month in room
4 from 5:30-7:30. Look for exciting posters and topic updates.

Unitarian
Univeralist Symposium (UUS) is a group
that gathers weekly at 7pm each Wednesday for food and
fellowship, meeting at a different location each week. Venues
will be decided at the previous week's meeting. To find out

sure to come to the next UUS meeting and let UUS know!
Writer's Interest Group
consists of persons interested in writing, anything from memoirs,
vignettes, scholarly articles and humor to poetry. We share our
work and also have a short exercise at each meeting. We meet on the
first (1:30pm) and third(7:00pm) Mondays at the church. Anyone who
shares an interest in writing is welcome.
