To assure a beautiful, finished announcement or invitation, we offer custom letterpress printing in which the font is impressed into the paper, adding to the paper's beautiful surface texture. We can provide typesetting and are also happy to print from original calligraphy or type fonts you may have set on your computer. 1. Doing your own typesetting on your computer:

After writing the text and determining the layout and spacing, you can create your own typesetting, either on a computer with desk top publishing, or by taking the text to a local printer to have them do the typesetting..Use the actual examples in the Invitation Sample Book to format your layout. You can also see all the invitation sizes and prices on this web site under "Ordering Invitations". If you decide which cards and envelopes you want from this web site and don't need to have the full Invitation Sample Book sent to you, we suggest you call us to order just one of each size in the color you have chosen to see the typesetting placed on the cards and envelopes for your approval. 2. Have Twinrocker set your type:

Mail, FAX or e-mail us the final text for the various cards and envelopes and indicate the layout by centering lines if desired, and leaving more or less space between lines. Remember to double check spelling, punctuation, and capitalization. Choose the font style from the examples below. We will mail, FAX or e-mail you a proof for your final approval. Text beautifully written by a calligrapher expresses more than just the meaning of the words; the rhythms and variations of a skilled hand adds emotional content and a human touch. 1. Have your own calligrapher create the original writing. Using the Twinrocker invitation and envelopes, you may have your own calligrapher create the camera-ready copy. Call Fran at Twinrocker (800-757-8946) to get instructions on how to prepare the writing. Then we'll have a printing plate made from the original writing.

2. Choose a calligrapher from our select list. We have chosen professional calligraphers with whom we have worked for many years. We offer their names and web sites for you to see examples of their writing styles along with their e-mail or phone numbers so you can contact them directly. You will send your text and layout to them, and you will recieve a finished example for your approval. Each calligrapher sets their own prices, and the payment for the original writing is paid directly to the calligrapher. They will then send us the finished writing, and we'll have a printing plate made. The cost of the printing plate is included in the price of our printing. If you would like your envelopes beautifully addressed, many calligraphers also do this at an additional charge.

With letterpress printing, the type or font is pressed down into the paper giving the invitation a beautiful, subtle texture. We print on a Vandercook letterpress and place each by hand into the grippers of the press. This slow, careful method permits us to offer the highest quality printing on paper with four deckled edges as well as shapes like hearts, circles, and the telescoping card .Although we only print on Twinrocker paper, we will print on other machine made papers that you provide if they are part of the order. Every printer needs some extra paper beyond the number of sheets ordered for proofing at the beginning of the printing process. Most printers charge for that paper, but because we are the paper mill, the proof paper is free. We only charge for the number of sheets we ship to you.

INK COLOR: There is no charge for Black or Charcoal. We print from Pantone Inks which have PMS color #s. You may choose from any of the Pantone Ink color numbers for $45. If you don't have a Pantone color swatch book and want to see all the possible colors, you can go to a local printer who will probably have the Pantone book.

PRINTING PRICES FOR EACH ITEM to be printed (i.e. invitation, inner envelope, outer envelope, reply, reply envelope, etc.) includes the cost of the negative and the printing plate:
