Watching the lost by Danny Weiss
|
The air was heavy and thick. A pale mist settled, unmoving. Fog hid the beyond, The dream horizon lost, Only visible to the imagination. What was out there? What waited in my mind? I felt something watching As I always had. The fog was always there. The Watchers always watched. * The near fog lessened But leave I never can. An unsolvable maze to those without hope. Step towards the outside Moving back to the middle In a hazy world Unable to reach out from Under the veil and Move on. Silent laughters mock. Denial chains rescue Those teardrop-blur lives In a puddle of dry sorrow. The eyes will watch forever Unless I unlock their secrets. |
