Lafayette Bluegrass Jammers

Lafayette Bluegrass Jammers was founded in 1994, by local bluegrass musician Phil Gehringer. The group holds bluegrass jams and related events, which are free and open to the public. The purpose of the organization is to promote bluegrass and traditional acoustic string music and singing.

Bluegrass instruments include (but are not necessarily limited to) fiddle, mandolin, banjo, stand up bass, and guitar. We also often have dobro and harmonica. Families and children are always welcome. We especially enjoy encouraging beginners, both children and adults.
