Hi

My name is Max Snyder. As you read this some of you will not know me, but I would like to take a minute of your time to tell you about my son Bryan.

Bryan’s truck he loved so much went off the road and rolled into a field for reasons we don’t know on 02-05-02.  Bryan passed away the next morning. He was 18.

Bryan had a smile that would lighten anyone that he came into contact with. If you were down and out he would pick you up with his smile, charm and wit.

Bryan was a really sharp kid in life and very true to his friends.  I didn’t know how much he was respected by his friends and the people he knew and come into contact with, until this happened.  Bryan struggled with his grades in school some. He was in his last semester at Harrison High School in West Lafayette Indiana.  Bryan made the commitment to himself to graduate and get his diploma, then go on to become a police officer and serve his community.

I saw a major difference in his happiness after his decision to do so.  To the point of going in early to school and doing the things that had to be done.

I raised Bryan along with his older brother and sister since he was 3.  Giving them all lots of love, hugs, and kisses on their foreheads when they were growing up.  I can’t begin to tell you how much it hurts since he’s been gone.

I want to carry on Bryan’s goals and memories by starting a scholarship in his name to give to students that want to go on and become police officers.

Please take a minute and think about how our police officers make our lives safer.

If you would like to make a donation of $1, $2, $5, $10 or more to Bryan’s scholarship fund, it would be greatly appreciated.

I can not offer you good luck or fortune.
I can not promise you happiness or grandeur.

But I can offer you the good feeling you will have.  Knowing you will be helping some young person achieve their dreams. Dreams Bryan had and wasn't able to fulfill.

I would like to share Bryan’s smile with you. Bryan’s smile will bless you and live with you, his friends and me forever.

My appeal to you is:

If you have kids, no matter how old you are, PLEASE give them a hug, a kiss and tell them how much you love them.
And, please tell them to always wear their seatbelts.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. Please sign our guestbook.

Max Snyder

I am Pat Bible, Bryans mom. No one knows how much pain a person feels about loosing a child unless they have gone through it. I am going to share some of my good times that I have had with Bryan.

Bryan was the youngest of 3 kids. I was Mom and Dad to the kids in their younger years because their dad worked all the time. If you knew Bryan, you would see a smile on his face all the time.

I remember one time when he was little, he would say the wanted a porch when he got older. He wanted to say a porsche.

When he was about 14 years old, Bryan, his sister, me and his step dad, went to Kings Island. I do not like rollercoasters at all, but Bryan would tease me about being scared.

After he got his license, he would come over all the time. He would come over when I would be making supper and he would help. I remember one time when Bryan and his friends were swimming in the pool in the dark. I turned the light on and caught them skinny dipping.

If I could trade places with Bryan, I would do it in a second.

If Bryan had his seat belt on he would be with us today. I am going to try and get the law passed that you have to have your seat belt on in a truck.

I do not know why this had to happen but I can not wait until I see Bryan again.
