Well I did it I bought one of the new Beetles. I got a 2000 GLS and love it. Here are some photos. It sure is a lot different than my old 1972 Super Beetle.
Of course the first road trip had to be some place with good German beer and food.
No Beer now, thank goodness they had Root Beer for the driver.
