John L. Zook, 74, R.2, Brookston, died Thursday, Sept. 20, at 11:30 p.m. in his home.

He was born Oct. 12, 1915, in Carroll County. He was married Oct. 10, 1937, to Clara Peterson, who survives.

In 1980, he retired from the Alloy Craft Company.

He was a member of the Lower Deer Creek Church of the Brethren.

Also surviving are a son, Gerald Zook, Johnstown, Pa.; a daughter, Charlotte Hufford, R.1, Rossville; two brothers, Orton Zook and Truman Zook, both of Delphi; and two sisters, Donnabelle Clawson, Delphi and Roberta Wagoner, Bringhurst.

Surviving are 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren. Six brothers and 5 sisters preceded him in death.

Funeral was Sunday at 2 p.m. in Lower Deer Creek Church of the Brethren, the Rev. Opal Reiff officiating.

Burial was in Maple Lawn Cemetery.

The Cree Funeral Home, Camden was in charge of service.
