Genevieve Zieseniss

Genevieve "Jenny" Zieseniss, 87, of Monon, died Sunday, October 6, 2002 at Monticello Assisted Living and Healthcare.

She was born in East Chicago on August 25, 1915, to Mike and Emma Mary Lee Murray. She married Ralph H. Zieseniss in Rensselaer on March 27, 1934. He died on August 21, 1979.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Rosary and Alter [sic] Society of the church and the St. Monica's Circle, which met at the Buffalo Firehouse.

She was a former member of the St. Bridget Catholic Church in Hobart where she had lived for several years.

She was a member of the Liberty Township Extension Homemakers Club and the Bunco Club, both of Buffalo.

Survivors include a daughter, Rose (Fred) Geyer, of Monticello; sons John (Pat) Zieseniss of Monticello and Michael "Mickey" (Bonita) Zieseniss of Churchtown, Pa.; a twin sister, Margaret "Maggie" Spychalski of Hobart; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Sons, Edward Lester "Sonny" Zieseniss and James "Jimmy" Zieseniss; two sisters and three brothers are deceased.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Miller-Roscka Funeral Home in Monticello with a rosary service at 7:30 p.m. A prayer service will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. James Goodrum officiating.

A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Maplewood Cemetery, Crown Point.

Memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children's Hospital.
