Reinhart W. Zarse, 72, R.2, Goodland, died in his home at 9:45 a.m., Saturday, July 15.

He was born March 10, 1917, to William and Martha Kruger Zarse, in Chalmers. He was married June 15, 1941 to Dorothy Walters, in Francesville. She survives.

- He lived in the Goodland area for 30 years. He also lived in the Francesville and Chalmers areas.

He attended the Chalmers community schools.

He retired from farming after 45 years and was in the Air Force during World War IL He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Reynolds. He served as an ASC committeeman, a 4-H leader and a trustee of the St. James Lutheran Church.

Survivors include three sons, Keith and Wayne, both of Goodland, Everett, Greenfield; a daughter, Mrs Richard (Gina) Shaffer, Danville; five brothers, Elmer, San Bernadino, Calif.; Joe, Chalmers, Walter, Brookston, Harold, West Lafayette and Herbert, Reynolds; a sister, Mrs James (Melinda) Huffman, Francesville and nine grandchildren. A sister is deceased.

Funeral was conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. in St. James Lutheran Church, Reynolds.

Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery, Reynolds.
