Stephen Robert Young, 42, Brookston, died Thursday, Nov.21, in the emergency room at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette.

He was born Nov. 26, 1953, in Lafayette, to Herbert and Florence Mills Young, who survive.

He graduated from Frontier High School in 1972 and attended Purdue and Ivy Tech. He was married Aug. 14, 1976, to Roberta Beaty, in Kendallville, and she survives.

He farmed with his father on R.2, Brookston and was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Lafayette.

Surviving with his wife and parents are two sons, Jason and Joel and a daughter, Daniel Young all at home; two brothers, Dave, West Lafayette and Larry, Hastings, Neb.; and a sister, Mrs Jim (Kathy) Griner, new Port Richey, Florida.  A brother, Randy is deceased.

Services were conducted Monday at St. James Lutheran Church, Lafayette, with Pastor Daniel May officiating.

Burial was in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens, West Lafayette.

Contributions may be given to the American Heart Association.

Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston, was charge of services.
