John W. Yauch, Sr.

John W Yauch, Sr. 75, of Buffalo, died Saturday, June 16, 2001, at Memorial Hospital, South Bend.

He was born on April 12, 1926, in Loveland. Colorado.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and was a retired semi tanker driver.

He was a member of the VFW Post in Monticello where he served two terms as post commander. He was also a member of the American Legion Post and AMVETS, both of Monticello.

Surviving are three sons, Paul (Vangee) Yauch of Vancover [sic], Washington, John (Nicole) Yauch of South Bend and Darrell Burdett of Ft. Myers, Fl; one sister, Pam (Armando) Madrino of Hammond and 10 grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 6:30 - 8 p.m. at White-Love Funeral Home, Chesterton. A memorial service will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor James Bretzinger officiating.

Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Portage.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity yet to be decided by the family.
