Charles R. Williams, 54, of Monticello died Monday, July 25, 2005 at his residence.
He was born at Kokomo on Sept. 7, 1950, to Charles Preston Williams and Verna (Stidhan) Brockman.
He married Linda R. Williams at Monticello on April 10, 1993. She survives.
He was a veteran of the U. S. Army from 1970-1971 in the Honor Guard. He later served in the United States Army Reserve Control Group.
He was currently employed with McGill Manufacturing as a Machinist for nine years. He had worked for Chemtron, formerly of Monticello for 10 years. He had also worked for Monon Trailer for 20 years.
He was a member of Redmens Lodge. He was also a member of the Eagles Lodge where he served as trustee.
He enjoyed fishing and NASCAR racing. He was a music lover, especially Folk Music. He was also an avid bird watcher. He enjoyed spending time with his family whom he loved very much.
Other survivors include daughters, Lacy Williams of Logansport and Carrie Shields of Reynolds; a son, Jesse Charles Williams of Monon; brother, Dick Williams of Muncie; sister, Becky (Evert) Seward of Kokomo; grandson, Blain Robert Perkins; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
One sister is deceased.
Funeral services were Friday, at Fisher-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home at Monticello with Celebrant Carla Barker officiating.
He was cremated.
