Robert R. Wilkerson

Robert R. Wilkerson, 73, of Monon, died Saturday, October 25, 2003 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Indianapolis. He had been ill for several years.

He was born at Reynolds on September 7, 1930 to Hillard T. and Georgia McCowan Wilkerson. He married Mary Agnew on Sept. 7, 1955. She survives.

He attended Seafield and Reynolds Schools and lived in the area all his life.

He was a farmer and loved restoring old tractors.

Surviving with his wife are sons Kevin (Debra) Hendress and James (Kathy) Wilkerson, both of Monon and Richard (Andrea) Wilkerson of Kokomo; sisters Dorothy Brown of Attica, Betty Haskins of Monticello and Irma Robinson of Delphi; brothers Donald Wilkerson and Richard Wilkerson of Reynolds; granddaughter[s] Juanita A. Sutherin of Enterprise, Ala., Charity Hendress of Monon; grandsons Kevin Hendress, Jr., of Monon, John (Candi) Barton, V of Clarksville, Tenn., James R. Wilkerson of Monon and Michael 0. Sutherin of Kokomo; one great grandson John H. Barton, VI.

A son Robert Wilkerson, Jr. is deceased.

A memorial service was held on Tuesday at Milroy Bible Baptist Church.

Burial will be at Milroy Cemetery.

Foster Funeral Home in Wolcott was in charge of arrangements.
