Lorenz H. Wiese, 90, Reynolds, died Sunday, June 29, at the Monticello Healthcare Center.  He had been a resident there since 1993, prior to that he had lived in the house near Reynolds, all of his life.

He was born Oct. 7, 1906, to Emil G. and Mary M. Bardonner Wiese, in Reynolds. He was married May 5, 1935, to Effie James in Reynolds. She died May 15, 1989.

He served on the White County Farm Bureau Co-op Board of Directors several years and was chairman of that board for 17 years. He also served on the Honey Creek Advisory Board for 16 years.

He was a life-time member of St James Lutheran Church, Reynolds, where he served as trustee and chairman several terms.

Surviving are four sons; Roger L, Reynolds; James L, Phoenix, Arizona; Carl W., Valley Springs, California and Charles A., Apopka, Florida; a sister, Marie Erdmann, Richmond; special friend, Pauline Elliott, Monticello and 14 grand children and five great grandchildren.

Five brothers, a sister and grandson are deceased.

The funeral will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in St. James Lutheran Church with the Rev. Stephen E. Koenig officiating.

Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m., tonight, at Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home and one hour prior the service at the church.

Burial will be in the Lutheran Cemetery, Reynolds.
