Mildred White, 95, formerly of Brookston, died Monday, June 4, in St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center at Delphi, where she had been a resident since May 31, 1988.

She was born May 18, 1895, to Mark and Anna Murphy Corns, in Battle Ground. She was married April 15, 1915, to Lowell White, in Brookston. He died Sept. 20, 1960.

She had been an employee of the former Bryan Manufacturing Co. in Monticello, for 26 years, retiring in 1971.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs Wanetta Fite, R.2, Monticello, and Mrs Marjorie Young, Earl Park; two sons, Francis E. and Don L, both of Brookston; one brother, Leon Corns, Mulberry; two sisters, Doris Thornell and Wanda Corns, both of West Lafayette; 16 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; and 14 great- great grandchildren.

One son, one daughter, two grandchildren, four brothers and three sisters are deceased.

The funeral was today at 10 a.m. in Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston, the Rev. Gene Ansell officiating.

Burial was in Brookston IOOF Cemetery.
