Constance D. "Connie" Wheeldon, 26. Monticello, died at 5:45 p.m. Sunday, October 4, in a truck accident.

She was born Nov. 5, 1971, to Harold and Patty Adkins Cairn, in Dothan, Alabama.

She had attended North White Schools, where she was acitve in girls softball.

She had returned to the Monticello area two months ago, coming from McKinney, Texas.

She is survived by a son, Darrin Ricky of Buffalo; two daughters, Marissa Ricky of Buffalo and Kayla Renae Wheeldon, Burnettsville; her mother and stepfather, Patty and LeRoy Mertens, Buffalo; her father, Harold Conn, Langdon, Kansas; three brothers, Patrick A. Conn, Monon; Rodney J. Conn, Buffalo and Richard T. Conn, Langdon, Kansas; four stepbrothers, Craig Mertens. Nashville, Kansas; Rob Mertens and Steve Mertens, both of Kingman, Kansas and Curt Mertens, Wolcott; three stepsisters, Cindy Payne, Dallas, Kathy Slater, Sawyer, Kansas and Wendy Arnold, Wichita, Kansas.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home, Monticello, with Frank Hicks officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be in the Buffalo Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to the children of Connie Wheeldon Fund at the Lakes Federal Credit Union, Monticello.
