Kermit A. West

Kermit A. West, 77, of Buffalo died Tuesday, April 20, 2004, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Hospital, Carmel. He had been in failing health for six weeks.

He was born at Jenkins, Ky., on May 6, 1926, to Bill and Martha (Adkins) West. He married "Dollie" Kiser at Whitesburg, Ky., on November 16, 1946. She survives.

He had lived in the Buffalo community since 1965, coming from Virginia.

He had worked in the mines in Virginia for 26 years. He had worked at the old Monticello RCA plant for 15 years.

He was in the ministry.

He enjoyed calling on people in nursing homes and in hospitals.

He attended the Denham Baptist Church in Denham.

Other survivors include daughters Beatrice (Wes) Krintz of Idaville and Brenda (Chuck) Burget of Monticello; sons Donnie (Kay) West of Pound, VA, Ron West of Logansport and Kenneth West of Buffalo; sisters Marie (James) Greggory of Warren, Ohio and Emojean Kennett of Wisc, VA, 15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Two sisters are deceased.

Funeral services were Friday at Miller-Roscka Funeral Home with Pastor Verline Combs officiating.

Burial was in IOOF Riverview Cemetery, Monticello.
