Harold Wesner, 90, of Chalmers, died Wednesday, August 11 at 8 a.m. in St. Anthony Healthcare in Lafayette.

He was born May 16, 1909 to Mansford and Eva Hardacre Wesner in Tippecanoe County.  He was married  Nov. 12, 1930 to Edith E. Hoilman in Monticello.  She preceded him in death.

He attended Battle Ground schools and graduated from Hillsborough High School in Tampa, Florida in 1927.

He lived in Brookston from 1930-1949 and in Chalmers from 1949-1996.

He was a retired farmer and drove a Frontier School Corp. school bus for approximately 17 years.

He was a member of the former Liberty Chapel EUB Church, a member of the Libanus Masonic Lodge of Monticello and the former Brookston Masonic Lodge.

He was a past master of the Mt. Olive Masonic Lodge in Delphi and a past worthy patron for Grand Prairie OES in Brookston.

He is survived by son, James Wesner of Chalmers; grandsons, Barry Wesner of Chalmers, Bruce Wesner of Ft. Wayne and Bryan Wesner of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and seven great grandchildren.

Graveside service was Saturday at IOOF Cemetery in Brookston, with the Rev. Bill Henderson officiating.

Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston was in charge of service.

Memorials may be given to the Brookston Federated Church.
