Word has been received of the death of Irene C. Weilhammer, 90, of Indianapolis, mother of a Monon resident, Friday, Nov. 27, 1998, in St Francis Hospital, Indianapolis
She was born July 4, 1908, to William and Matilda Vetter Kottkamp, in Indianapolis. She was Sept 8, 1926, to Joseph V. Weilhammer in Indianapolis, and he died in 1976.
She and her husband had a summer home in Buffalo for 35 years.
She had been employed as a salesperson with the Wm. H. Block Co. and was a homemaker.
She was a member of St. Roch Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Altar Society and sang in the choir.
She had also been a member of the choir at St. mark's Lutheran Church, a Girl Scout leader and a Cub Scout volunteer.
She is survived by a daughter, Charlotte A. Austin of Monon; a son, Dr. James D. of Tallahassee, Fla., formerly of Monticello; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services and burial were held in Indianapolis.
