Leslie Allen Weaver, 81, of Fishers, IN and formerly of Monon died Monday, July 29, 2002 at St. Vincent Hospital. Death was due to natural causes.
He was born in 1921, the son of Noah Allen and Minnie Weaver. He married Isabel (Gentry) Weaver who is deceased.
He spent 30 years in the United States Air Force, retiring in 1970 as Chief Warrant Officer W-4. Following his retirement he worked for 20 years as an engineer for Talbot Manufacturing, retiring in 1990.
A graduate of Oklahoma State University he attended the East 91st St. Christian Church in Fishers.
He was a member of Libanus Masonic Lodge 152, Monticello, Scottish Rite, Murat Shrine, Order of Eastern Star, Wolcott Chapter, Air Force Association, World War II Round Table, Eugene Hughes Post American Legion, Monon, and the V.F.W. in Monon.
He was a charter member of World War II Memorial and a charter member of Air Force Memorial.
Surviving is [sic] his wife Lois (Ward) Weaver of Fishers, two stepsons; Gary L. Ward and Dennis A. Ward and two step-grandchildren.
His parents, a brother J. Harold Weaver, a sister, Louise (Weaver) Edwards and his wife Isabel (Gentry) Weaver preceded him in death.
Friends may call at the Leppert & Hensley Mortuary, Nora Chapel, 740 East 86th St., Indianapolis from 4 — 8 p.m. on Wednesday. Funeral services will be Thursday, August 1 at 10:00 a.m. at the Leppert & Hensley Mortuary, Nora Chapel. Graveside services will be at Bedford Cemetery, Monon at 2:30 p.m. Thursday.
