Helen L. Boyland Watson, 74, Brookston and Jacksonville, Florida, died Saturday, Oct. 1, at her Brookston home. She was in failing health for two years.

She was born Aug. 10, 1914, in Shelbyville, to Clarence J. and Pearl Brooks Boyland. She was married on Nov. 14, 1933, to George Watson, in Greenfield; He survives.

She moved to Brookston in 1937. She and her husband owned and operated a grocery in Brookston for 14 years. She attended Brookston Federated Church. She was a member of the Monticello Order of the Eastern Star No. 165 and a former member Psi Iota Xi Sorority.

Also surviving is a daughter, Mrs Jack (Kathryn) Cunningham, Brookston; a son, JamesA., Lafayette;. seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. A sister is deceased.

The funeral was Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Washlngtgn Park Cemetery Chapel, lndianapolis, with the Rev. Glen Odell officiating. Hartzler Funeral Home in Brookston was in charge.

Burial will be in Washington Park Cemetery.
