Velvia C. Ward, 91, of Monticello and formerly of Monon died Friday, February 21, 2003 at Monticello Healthcare Center, Monticello. She had lived in Monticello for three years.

She was born October 21, 1911 in Swea City, IA, the daughter of William and Lottie Jensen. She married Dan. J. Ward on March 8, 1947 at Columbus, KS. He died December 18, 1969.

She was a homemaker.

She is survived by two children, eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
