Virginia R. Kelly Walton, 74, of Indianapolis, died Sunday, July 24, 2005 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She had been in failing health for the past couple of months.

She was born in Honey Creek Township in White County on February 21, 1931, to Edward and Florence "Nina" (Eddy) Kelly.

She married John Walton at Lafayette in June, 1955. He died September 30, 1992.

Survivors include a son, Steve Walton of Indianapolis; brothers, Robert "Spark" (Joy) Kelly and Dale Kelly, both of Reynolds and Raymond "Skip" (Barbara) Kelly of Battle Ground; several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Dorothy Kelly.

A brother, Richard "Dick" Kelly died in August 2004.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home in Brookston. Services will be at the funeral home at 10 a.m. on Thursday with Rev. Joe Hancock officiating.

Burial will be at Chalmers Community Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
