Cassandra Leann (Cassie) Walker, 14, Brookston, died Thursday, Dec. 25, 1997, at Riley Children's Hospital, Indianapolis.  She had been at the hospital since December

She was born June 21, 1983, to Malcome and Tina Demerly Walker, in Lafayette, and they survive.

She was an eighth grade student at Tn-County Middle-Senior High School.
 
She was a member of the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Lafayette and the Tn-County School Band.

She was also a member of the FFA and was active in Round Grove Twp., White Co. 4-H Club.

Surviving with her parents are a brother, Matthew, Brookston; grandparents, Francis 'Bud' and Dorothy Demerly, West
Lafayette, and Nelson and Altie Walker, Chalmers; great grandmother, Mrs Ernest (Amy) Brooks, Tazewell, Tenn.; and
several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services were Monday, Dec. 29, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Lafayette with Father Chris Miller officiating. Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston, was in charge.

Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery, Lafayette.

Memorials may be given to the Riley Children's Hospital in the form of blood donations or signing of Organ Donation cards.
