Viola C. VonTobel, 84, of Francesville, died Monday, December 15, 2003, at Jasper County Hospital in Rensselaer.

She was the daughter of Elias and Ida Schlatter Winzeler. She married Virgil C. VonTobel, Sr. on March 17, 1945 at Chicago. He survives.

She was a homemaker and had lived in Francesville all her life.

She was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church.

Survivors also include a son, Virgil C. VonTobel, Jr., of Rensselaer; three daughters, Virginia Masten of Vincennes, Ind., Vivian Siegfried of Copperopolis, Calif., and Verene Sutton of Glendale, Ariz.; a sister, Dorothy Gerber of Bluffton; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Three brothers and a granddaughter preceded her in death.

Funeral services were Friday, December 19, 2003, at the Apostolic Christian Church in Francesville with the Apostolic Christian Church ministers officiating.

Burial was in Roseland Cemetery.
