Robert C. VonArb

Robert C. VonArb, 81, 411 S. Wood St., Brookston, died Saturday, April 27, in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette.

He was born Sept. 4, 1929, to Louis A. and Edna Borchardt VonArb, in St. Joseph, Mo. He was
married Oct. 27, 1951, to Ruby Ann Hirter, who survives.

He graduated from St. Joseph Central High School in 1947 and was a graduate of St. Joseph Junior College.

He moved to Battle Ground from Kirksviile, Mo. He then moved from Battle Ground to Brookston, where he lived for the last 15 years.

He worked at Purdue as a night security officer and had also worked as an underwriter for State Farm Auto Insurance until he retired in 1984.

He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Lafayette, and a 15 year member of the Lafayette Police Reserve.

Survivors also include a son, Mark Charles VonArb, Lafayette; a daughter, Julia Ann VonArb, Monticello; mother and stepfather, Edna and John Krumme, Missouri; and three grandchildren.

The funeral was Wednesday, at 10 a.m. in Hartuler Funeral Home, Brookston, with Pastor Daniel May officiating.

Burial was in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens Mausoleum, Lafayette.
