Grace L. Turner, 88, Brookston, died Friday, March 4, at 11:02 am. in Home Hospital, Lafayette. She had been a patient there since Wednesday.

Mrs Turner worked in the maintenance department at Ross Gear in Lafayette for 10 years, retiring in 1968.

Born March 19, 1901, in Goodland, she had lived in the Lafayette and Brookston areas since 1938.  She had been living at Flora Brethren Home since Feb. 12.  She married Archie Turner, April 10, 1918, in Goodland.  He died Aug. 22, 1954.

Mrs Turner was a member of Brookston Federated Church and Philathea Sunday School class.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs Robert (Maxine) Deweese, Brookston; and one son, Howard Turner, Flora. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, 22 great- grandchildren, 2 great-great- grandchildren. A brother, 1 sister preceded in death

Service was in Brookston Federated Church at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev Duncan MacNab officiating. Interment Goodland Cemetery.

Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston, was in charge of the service.
