R. Mark Tnueblood

R. Mark Trueblood, 43, of West Bend, Wisconsin, died Friday, Feb. 11, at his home, losing his courageous battle to A.L.S. disease. He was born Sept. 2, 1956 in Lafayette, to Joyce (nee Hughes) and the late Robert Trueblood. He was married Aug. 19, 1978, to Debra J. Photenhauer.

Prior to his illness, he was employed at MBC Foods in Milwaukee. For many years, he coached girls' basketball and baseball teams, as well as Little League teams. With his interest in sports and as a member of St. Mary's Parish, he was the founder and first president of the St. Mary's Athletic Association. His life touched so many and he will forever be remembered. His participation in the A.L.S. research program in life and death will enable his peaceful and kind spirit to live on.

He was the best friend and loving husband of Debra, the caring dad of Christi and Kyle, both at home, the dear son of Joyce Trueblood of Slinger, the dear son-in-law of Pat Photenhauer of Milwaukee and Calvin (Eileen) Photenhauer of Milwaukee, the fond brother of Alan (Robin) Trueblood of Plainfleld, IL and Kelli (David) Effinger of Milwaukee, the fond brother-in-law of Jeffrey (Lisa) Photenhauer of West Allis, the proud uncle and godfather of Ashley Trueblood and Josef Photenhauer and the fond uncle of Chelsea Trueblood and Jamie and Mallory Photenhauer. He is further survived by special friends, Dennis and Sue Hausmann of West Bend, other relatives and many friends.

A Mass of Christian burial was held Tuesday, Feb. 15, at St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Rev Patrick Wendt was the presider and interment was held this morning (Wednesday) morning at St. Mary's (new) Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials go to the ALS. Foundation. The Schmidt Funeral Home of West Bend was in charge.
