Ylario Tristan, 87, R.1, Chal mers, died Sunday, Feb. 28, at 8:12 a.m. in St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center in Lafayette.

Mr Tristan was retired from working in the oil fields in Texas.

He was born Jan. 17, 1922, and a native of Ganado, Texas. He was married Nov. 27, 1940, to Louisa Rodriquez, who died Oct. 10, 1986.

Surviving are a daughter, Lupe Briseno, Flora; two sons, Ylario Tristan Jr., Moss Hill, Texas and Joe Tristan, Chalmers; two brothers, Paul Tristan, Victoria, Texas and John Tristan, LaWard, Texas.

Also surviving are 15 grand children and 8 great grand children.

Service was in Reinke Funeral Home, Flora, Tuesday at 2 p.m., with the Rev Gary West officiating. Interment was in Maple Lawn Cemetery.
