Vida Scott Ferguson Tillman, 89, West Palm Beach, Florida, formerly of Brookston, died Wednesday, May 15, in her home.

She was born June 15, 1901, to Ed and Tina Ford Darnell Scott, in Brookston. She first married Charles Ferguson, in 1920, and he died in 1923. On July 20, 1968, she married Charles Tillman, who survives.

She graduated in 1920 from Brookston High School. She was a telephone operator in Warren, and retired in 1962.

She was a former member of the United Methodist Church and Order of the Eastern Star, both in
Warren.

She moved from Warren to Florida, 29 years ago.

Also, surviving is a son, Charles B. "Bev" Ferguson, Pompano Beach, Fla., and several nieces and nephews. Three brothers and two sisters are deceased.

The funeral was Saturday at Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston, with the Rev Gene Ansell officiating.

Burial was in IOOF Cemetery, Brookston.
