Alice Pearl Thrasher

Alice Pearl Blake Thrasher, 96, of Cape Coral Florida, died Thursday, August 21st in Florida.

She was born March 10, 1907, the daughter of John and Cora Blake. She was born and grew up in Monon.

Her marriage was to Lawrence Cleve Thrasher in Monon, they moved to Gary, Indiana where her husband was superintendent of U.S. Steel's Sheet and Tin Mill.

Upon his retirement, they moved to Buffalo for a brief time. After his death in 1969, she moved to Monon and lived on Holly Street for 13 years.

When her son Blake died, she moved to Florida near her daughter and son-in-law Donna and Don Washburn. She lived there for the past 18 years.

She is survived by her daughter Donna (Don) Washburn of Cape Coral, a son Lawrence Cleve (Jayne) Thrasher, Jr., two granddaughters, Debbie Kelley and Denise Luchene and a grandson, Brett Thrasher and 3 great-grandchildren, Michael Kelley, Will and Zachary Thrasher.

Preceding her in death besides her husband and son were sisters Ella Goetsinger, Mazie Hebert, Hilda Blake and Kathryn Hitson.
