Helen A. Lesley Thompson, 94, formerly of Chalmers, died Monday, June 23, at 12:20 a.m. at Crestmark of Monticello, where she had resided since 1993.

She was born March 9, 1903, to Bruce and Lula Nalley Lesley, in Buck Creek. She was married March 7, 1922, to Richard L. Thompson Sr., in Monticello, and he died Aug. 11, 1977.

She was educated in Buck Creek and Chalmers Schools and was a homemaker.

Survivors are two sons, Richard and Jack Thompson of Chalmers; two daughters, Mrs Lillian Johns, Idaville and Mrs Richard (Donna) Westphal, Reynolds; a brother, Wilbur Lesley of St. James City, Florida; 15 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren and 19 great-great grandchildren.

A sister, three brothers and an infant daughter are deceased.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Gerald Stevens officiating.

Visitation will be Wednesday, 5-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Chalmers Community Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to the Chalmers Community Church Building Maintenance Fund.
