C. Marvin Thomas, 81, Burnettsville, died Wednesday, September 20, 2000 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Lafayette. He had been admitted to the hospital two weeks ago following a lengthy illness.

He was born August 20, 1919 in Tippecanoe County, IN the son of Clarence W. and Katherine E. Fry Thomas. His marriage was to Printie Hazel Horton on April 10, 1937 in West Lafayette. She survives.

He retired from farming in 1984 in the Idaville, Burnettsville, Lake Cicott communities

He was a member of Christian Heritage Fellowship Church of God in Logansport.

He is survived by sons C. Wayne Thomas, Hopkinsville, KY and Everett E. (Skeet) Thomas of Burnettsville; daughter Joan Elizabeth Johnson of Burnettsville and a sister Elizabeth Minniear of Reynolds, IN.; nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.

Two brothers Everett and Francis (Chub) Thomas and a sister Leota Matthews are deceased.

Funeral services were Saturday at Hartzler Funeral Home with Pastor Rev. James Sparks officiating.

Burial was in IOOF Cemetery.
