Mary E. Stout

Mary E. Stout, 65, of Brookston died at her residence on Tuesday, December 21, 2004.

She was born on September 22, 1939 at Hardin County, Kentucky, to Denver and Hazel (Brown) Drake. She married Wayne Utley in 1958. He is deceased. She later married John "Jack" Stout at Brookston on December 19, 1980. He survives.

She was a 1957 graduate of Pine Township High School.

She sang with her sister on the Curley Meyers Television Show in the mid 1950's.

She was a homemaker.

She was an executive secretary for TRW.

She also had her own catering business, wallpaper business, and seamstress business specializing in western wear.

She enjoyed music, especially playing the guitar and singing.

Other survivors include son, Ted (Kelley) Utley of Brownsburg; daughters, Peggy Spencer of Clarksville, Tenn., Penny (Jack) Bowsher of Monticello and Alicia (Kurt) Parrish of Lafayette; brothers, Clyde (Betty) Drake of Otterbein, David Drake of Lewiston, Idaho, Phillip (Phyllis) Drake of Rockton, Ill., and Robert (Stephanie) Drake of Davenport, Fla.; sister, Martha (John) Skoog of Oxford; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, two step grandchildren.

Funeral services were Thursday, December 23 at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home in Brookston with Rev. Leland D. McReynolds officiating. Burial was in Brookston I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
